We are Chad and Ryan of Blixt Photography. As a boutique studio and team, we specialize in fine art photojournalism. What exactly does that mean? Basically it means that we will quietly and unobtrusively document your wedding - we're like ninjas with cameras - capturing all of the details and special moments as they unfold. You know those cheesy, airbrushed, overly posed wedding photos? We don't do those; we say no to cheese. We believe in keeping it real when it comes to people, life and especially our photos. Of course, we will touch up a photo to hide a booger or maybe to take the spinach out of your uncle's teeth. But ultimately we strive to provide accurate color reproduction and maintain our natural photographic style. Your big day is special, and we see it as our job to make sure you remember it that way. When it's all said and done, our clients are left with photographs they love, an awesome wedding album designed yours truly and two photographers they can happily recommend to friends and family.

One of our favorite things about what we do is getting the opportunity to meet some of the coolest and most creative people in Kansas City. John and Anne made this engagement session a totally different and unique experience for us with their vintage car and handpicked locations around town. And this is just part 1! If this engagement session is any indication of what the wedding will be like then we are in for an awesome time- can’t wait!

Stewart and Morgan were gracious enough to have us along for their wedding day. We spent the afternoon and evening in the quaint Paola town square, splitting time between the outdoor heat and the comfort of the beautiful Evergreen Event Space.
